Our Story

Werks Automotive was established in 2022 by a group of local Nord Stern members after purchasing Courtney Truck Service which has been operating from its current location in Eden Prairie since 1983. Initially a one man operation by Mike Courtney, Courtney Truck Service began as a repair garage for medium-duty fleet trucks. Customers started to request work on their cars which eventually developed into the full-service repair shop it is today – working on domestic & foreign makes of autos and light to medium-duty trucks, both gas & diesel. Over the years, the shop expanded into 11 bays with a Hunter alignment rack and skilled technicians that all share an honest work ethic. Emerging from Mike’s passion for road racing and his involvement with local club racing groups, the shop has developed into a popular garage for performance tuning & track preparation for many makes of high-performance cars. Today, Mike participates in the Porsche Club of America. He is a highly respected driving instructor for the local PCA & Audi clubs.
